Poker tabletops are now one of the most well known accessories, which are being used on poker tables. All other kinds of poker merchandise like poker chip sets, poker clothes etc have also started gaining a lot of popularity. Poker has now become much more popular when compared to blackjack and roulette thanks to the television program on poker called Texas Hold’em. Thanks to this program, everyone would like to have a private poker game in his or her own home.

Many people specialize in playing poker at a professional level and this has helped in conceiving the concept of the reality show for the world series of poker. People who are beginners and amateurs in the field of poker have watched the professional poker players with a lot of interest and they have tried to understand the tips and tricks, which they use in order to get the advantage over their opponents and win the game. People who are seasoned professionals have the capacity to play and perform under pressure and they have the confidence to bet all their poker chips. But all these objectives are achieved without revealing any kind of doubt or weakness in front of their opponent. This will ensure their position in the game and they can refrain from losing the game in this manner.

People interested in playing poker have basically got tired of spending all their money in Las Vegas while trying to compete with all the professional and seasoned players. Having a poker tabletop at home will give people the feel and experience of playing at Las Vegas and this feeling can be enjoyed at home along with your family and friends. A small group of players should assemble at a common meeting place and a few drinks and snacks should be organized along with the required poker chips and cards.

Poker table tops are the best option for all kinds of parties and social gatherings as well as poker games. It is always better to have a portable and foldable poker tabletop since this will help you to bring the actual experience of playing poker at Las Vegas into your living room. The risk of losing your money to professional and seasoned players can also be avoided.

Portable poker tabletops can be easily folded and placed anywhere and this also makes it very convenient for a person to play poker in any part of the house that is convenient. There is no person who plays poker on every night but a poker night is usually an event, which takes place once in a week in many urban homes in the United States. Friends and family can be asked to gather for a game of poker but it is not possible to get the real feel of things since not everyone has the right kind of poker tabletop.

The quality of a poker tabletop will be just as good as the original poker table. This can also be set up easily in any home. A proper poker table top will provide enough space for each player to be seated comfortably. There is a separate slot for the chips to be placed and every person gets an individual holder for his glass containing drinks.

This is my 20th year working in the film industry on over 40 film productions. Throughout that time I have never met a new film school graduate who has a clue about handling the most important aspect of ALL filmmaking – the MONEY! I had always assumed (wrongly, it turns out) that film students just weren’t interested in knowing about film budgets. However after a recent survey of film students at a reputable film college we learned that film students DO intuitively understand that knowing the language of film budgeting is crucial to their careers in film. Surprisingly, over 80% were enthusiastic about learning more about film budgeting!

Here’s what we discovered from that survey (completed in late September, 2005):

1.Over 80% of film students are not only interested in learning more about budgeting for film productions, they are emphatic about it!

2.In all cases, film students expect to find information about film budgeting from the internet, or as recommended reading from their professors.

3.We also learned that there are no references or books available to film schools or film students on this very needed subject.

Those working in the film business recognize how important it is to be familiar with film budgeting, if not technically proficient. The confidentiality of film budgets makes it extremely difficult, even for working filmmakers, to get familiar with film budgeting. (I have a true story in my book about a meeting that I had with Ron Howard in 1993 where he wanted to learn specifics about the budget for his film – in spite of having been in the film business for over 30 years as an actor and budding director).

Learning about film budgets while on-the-job comes at the expense of hard-knocks, expensive film budgeting software and late night self-training with a technical textbook (if you can find one). In the 20 years that I’ve been working in the film business, I have NEVER shown a film budget to anyone but a select few insiders – Producers, Production Managers, Studios, Bonding Companies, etc. So, exposure to actual film budgets really is an insider’s privilege – which I am about to open the door to for my readers. (Keep in mind the figures shown are samples only. The figures are real enough, but are not drawn from my actual past/present/future film productions.)

How can film students get familiar with film budgets while they have the time and opportunity? The only colleges with film budgeting in their syllabus (that I could find after hours of internet searching) was in a specialty course for Production Managers at the New York Film Academy, and through mentors at the American Film Institute (where, I’m proud to say, parts of my book are being used by a mentor there, who has a long record of producing films including a term as Vice President of Production at MGM).

The only solution that I see for film students, and for working film crew, to get familiar with film budgeting is to provide them with the information myself. But, what kind of information, and at what level of detail?

The answer to that rhetorical question is – in as simple a format as possible, yet still be effective. By effective, I mean that any training in the area of film budgeting will actually help you impress producers for those few film jobs, get your script into production, find financing, be rehired for more film contracts, be more cost effective cinematographers, etc. Also, the basic concept of translating creative ideas into a budgeting process is new to most people, especially those educated in film schools, so that concept should be presented first.

Film students don’t need to become keen budget technicians. However, they DO need to get enough exposure to film budgets to understand the fundamentals, and to be able to communicate to film producers, film studios, bonding companies, banks, financiers, etc. in the same language as would be expected from professional filmmakers.

All of the above is covered in my book, Walk The Talk. I have written a series of 7 free articles based on my book. They’re written for the complete novice, so be patient if you’ve already been exposed to film budgeting. You can sign-up, FREE, for 7 weeks of articles at http://www.allhottips.com.

There is a seventh article that could have been added for those who haven’t been exposed to the simple administrative procedures like petty cash, purchase orders, check requisitions, etc. Knowing how to use these forms will put you WAY out in front of the pack of job-hungry film students looking for those few film jobs. You’ll need to buy my book at this link Walk The Talk to get that inside advantage. (I have kept the price affordable, specifically with students in mind.)

Here are the article titles:
1.MAKING IT! In Film Production
2. Introduction to Film Budgeting
3. Translating Creative Ideas Into the Film Budgeting Process
4. Your Participation In Above-the-Line Budgeting
5. Your Participation In Below-the-Line Budgeting
6. Your Report Card – Comparing The Budget to Actual Costs
7. Presentation of the Weekly Cost Report – It’s As Important As the Dailies

When you read my articles, print them out. Make your own examples. Reread them. Send me your questions if you get stuck. You’ll find that you’ll be way out in front of the pack!

Some daycare directors have very strong, not always positive, feelings about visits from the Department of Health. After all, it’s the Department of Health that generally licenses daycares and what they say goes. The difficulty for some directors is accepting that different inspectors see things differently, and different inspectors can have very different personalities and expectations.

For example, there was a ladder attached to the wall of my rooftop play area. It lead to another higher section of the roof where the air conditioning unit was. The idea was for workmen to use the ladder to access to maintain the air conditioning unit. That was the plan, and the plan, to date, had worked just fine. All other parts of the rooftop play area had been fenced in and passed inspection many times.

The building had been inspected by the Fire Department, The Building Department and the Department of Health. I should mention that these inspections were regular, announced and unannounced and each time everyone said everything was in compliance. (That beautiful word all directors like to hear.)

One day, after 10 years of inspections, a new inspector showed up to look over the same territory. Ho-Hum. Imagine my surprise when the inspector pointed out that that ladder, the very one that so many of us had looked at over the years, was not properly guarded from use by the very children we were trying to protect. After all, from a child’s point-of-view, a ladder mounted to the side of the wall was just another plaything. We were not in compliance, we were given a 30-day period to correct the situation, and worst of all, we were living with a very dangerous situation. Until this violation could be corrected, in the interest of safety, we were not to use the rooftop.

It’s always good to have another set of eyes view what’s going on in childcare. For this reason alone, I am always grateful for the work inspectors do. Of course I’d like everything to be in compliance every time they visit because that makes me look good. But sometimes you can’t see the tree for the forest. The positive interaction between regulatory agencies and childcare professionals can only bring positive results for all concerned.

Inspectors are here to protect children. That’s true. They are also here to use their expertise to protect teachers and administrators as well. What if…that ladder had been discovered by a child who got to the top of the higher, unfenced rooftop before the teacher could get to him?

Gevalia is the best of the best when it comes to coffee. However, the best coffee is not always sold in the store down the street. Gevalia coffee is sold online and can often be very expensive. But don’t fret, I have found Gevalia coupon codes through a secret link to the Gevalia site. This coupon code will save you a lot of money and is very simple to use.

I can’t tell you exactly how I found the codes, but I can tell you the link I found. I have my own reasons, but primarily I just don’t want it getting out to everyone. If that happens, the Gevalia coupon codes might not work any more and they might also get rid of the free shipping.

The offer I found is called the 3 for 3 bucks offer or the Gevalia free shipping offer. They let you choose three different coffees from a selection of over 40. What surprised me was that they don’t charge any shipping on this at all. So you are basically getting three bags of coffee for only three dollars. This is definitely a great deal. If you miss out on this one, you might find yourself spending $50 or more in the store for this exact coffee.

As of now it is working well and you can get Gevalia coffee through my secret link for only $3.00. When I ordered I got 3 bags of coffee for the $3.00, but it might have changed. I guess you will have to check for yourself. Here is a quick update. I did check the site again, and they still have the 3 for three coffee and the free shipping.

If you are thinking about trying this coffee, it really is the best coffee around. Gevalia makes the most incredible coffee I have ever tasted and this is the best way to buy it.

Here is the site that I the 3 for 3 bucks offer. Like I said, the Gevalia coupon codes might have changed, but it is worth checking out regardless.

Get the Gevalia 3 For 3 Deal Right Here

The also have tea on the page in case you were wondering. Keep reading my articles if you want to keep saving money. After all, I am the king of coupons and savings!

Federal, state and trade associations – these are three stages on which the bottled water industry is regulated and streamlined, to some extent in USA. United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) rules, in addition to state and industry standards assure the consumers that the bottled water is regulated, tested and of a standard quality. But, the actuality is contrary to this assurance.

Bottled water, which is declared as a food product by the FDA bottled water companies must be governed by the FDA’s quality standards, standards of identity (labeling regulations) and Good Manufacturing Products.

Bottled water products must follow the FDA’s quality standards in section 165.110 (b) of Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). The reliability of all bottled water products from production stage to consumption stage is ensured by these standards.

FDA’s labeling rules prescribe standards of identity. Standardized explanations for terms viz. “artesian, distilled, drinking, mineral, purified, sparkling and spring” are governed by FDA. Soft drinks such as Seltzer, Soda Water, and House Water are exempted rom these stipulations.

Good Manufacturing Practices

Bottled water is regulated by both general food GMP and GMPs related to bottled water processing a bottling. Plant and ground maintenance, hygienic upkeep of fixtures and buildings, general sanitation of water supply, plumbing and sewage disposal – are controlled by general food GMPs. Bottled water GMPs prescribe clear indications regarding plant construction and design, sanitary facilities and functions, equipment design and erection, production an process controls, quality control and research, stores and records.

State Standards
Besides FDA’s comprehensive and detailed regulatory controls, the bottled water industries streamlined by government stipulations also.
Inspections
Noteworthy commitments of the states are inspecting, sampling, analyzing and approving sources of water.

Laboratory Certification
Certification of testing labs is on important function of the states. The states conduct surprise checks of plants in addition to annual inspections.
International Bottled Water Association’s Standards are purely voluntary (IBWA).
Third party Inspection
As a condition of membership, bottlers must accept an annual surprise check of plant, administered by an independent third party organization. This inspection audits quality and testing records, reduce plant operations and checks compliance with FDA quality standards, GMPs and state stipulations.

IBWA Model Code
IBWA has created a quality assurance scheme incorporating a rigid format off specifications. This model code is tougher than government and federal procedures.
International Standards
Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) is an international body for the development of internationally recognized standards for food. The WHO, one of the co-sponsors of the CAC has recommended norms and conditions for derivation of standards for all bottled waters. The CAC has formulated the “Codex Standard for Natural and Mineral Water” and a related code of practice.
Labeling Regulations
According to the FDA, bottled water must be processed, packaged, shipped and stored in a safe and hygienic atmosphere. They should b exactly labeled. They may include the terms “mineral, spring, artesian, well, distilled and purified”. Water bottles from municipal water supplies must be adequately labeled.
Infant Brands

So you are also one of those who wake up to the call of that perfect morning cup of tea! It is quite surprising to know how a simple cup of tea can affect your entire day. A nicely brewed fresh cup of tea in the morning helps you to get going for the rest of the day, and therefore it is quite likely that you surely wouldn’t like to compromise when it comes to the quality of your favorite beverage.

If you are an avid tea lover then you sure have tried several kinds of tea that are available on the market, out of which, some you might have liked and some you didn’t. However, if taste, quality and color are what you are looking for, then gourmet tea is worth a try. Here in this article we will discuss a few important aspects of gourmet tea that makes it all the more preferable to people.

What makes tea ‘Gourmet’?

The term ‘gourmet’ stands for class, sophistication, and high quality, so when we say ‘Gourmet Tea’ it means a genre of tea that is of high quality and fine taste. Therefore, the name itself is quite explanatory of what this particular type of tea is all about.

How to distinguish gourmet tea from others of its kind?

In order to classify tea as gourmet, it is very important for it to fulfill certain criteria. They are as follow:

Loose tea is gourmet:

For a type of tea to be classified as gourmet, it is very important for it to be loose and should not come in any tea bag. The teas that come in tea bags do not qualify as gourmet tea.

Tea quality:

The quality of the tea also plays an important role in making it gourmet. The quality has to be excellent. Poor quality or graded tea can never reach the status of gourmet. Some of these teas are of such fine quality that they charge hundreds of dollars for a pound.

Tea blend:

The blend of the tea also defines the category it falls under. So, like quality, the blend of the tea also has to be simply excellent to be able to qualify as gourmet tea.

Why go for gourmet tea?

If you have gone through this article carefully, then you are sure to have an idea by now why one should opt for gourmet tea. However, below are a few reasons to support the same:

• It has many health benefits.

• It offers you excellent taste.

• It offers you different flavors and styles of tea.

• Beautiful aroma.

Where do I find gourmet tea?

There are two ways to go about it; either you go to a tea store in person or simply use the internet to shop for gourmet tea. However, there are pros and cons both like, if you go to a store, then your options will be limited but you can personally examine the product before buying and in case you plan to buy online, then of course you will be exposed to a wide range of products, the only drawback is with shopping for tea online is that you can’t analyze the tea before making your purchase. Having said this, good companies usually guarantee the quality of tea they deliver. After all, their credibility is directly related to the quality of tea they provide!

The first federal regulation of the Food and Drug Act was passed in 1906. A gentleman by the name of Henry Wiley Washington was called upon for the passing of this act because of his expertise in his field. Mr. Washington was the chief chemist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture and founded the famous “poison squad” which tested the safety of preservatives by eating them. The Food and Drug Act prohibited interstate commerce in misbranded drinks, foods and drugs. Attempts to make changes to the law were unsuccessful until 1937 when a tragedy occurred.

In 1937 the Food and Drug Act was met with their first real incident. A drug by the name of Sulfanilamide had been in production in both powder and tablet forms, but a chemist by the name of Harold Cole Watkins developed a liquid form of the drug which improved the taste for children. The medium Mr. Watkins used in the production of Sulfanilamide was diethylene glycol, otherwise known as antifreeze which is a deadly poison if ingested. At this time, the Food and Drug Act did not require any pharmacological studies to prove that the drug was safe and 240 gallons were sold on the open market.

The American Medical Association began receiving complaints ranging from flu like symptoms to convulsions after taking this product. Unfortunately, most of the patients were children suffering from strep throat. Once the complaints began, the FDA quickly gathered 239 agents to find the remaining bottles of Sulfanilamide. Once complete, 234 gallons and 1 pint were recovered, however that was not before the loss of 107 patients.

It is for reasons such as these that we go to the extreme measures to receive FDA Approval for any new or improved product that is introduced to the marketplace today. There are a lot of people relying on the FDA to ensure our health, safety and security.
